About the firm
Small on purpose
PR Wave Nest is an independent public-relations and corporate-communications practice based in a restored shophouse on Keong Saik. We work with organisations across South-East Asia that need message discipline, careful materials, and senior attention — not a large account roster and rotating juniors.
How we started
The firm grew out of repeated requests from in-house communications teams who wanted outside counsel without importing a full agency structure. Founders and general counsel described the same frustration: capable people inside the organisation, but no quiet room to draft a narrative before it went public.
We organised around that need. PR Wave Nest keeps a narrow mandate — media relations, corporate narrative, issues preparedness, stakeholder communications, editorial materials, and spokesperson preparation — and refuses work that requires pretending to be something else. We are not an advertising shop, a design studio, or a news wire. We prepare language, alignment, and materials; clients and their agencies decide where those materials travel.
Staying small is an operating choice, not a marketing story. A compact team means the person who listens in week one is still in the room when a statement goes out. It also means we decline engagements when the timeline or the subject matter needs a larger bench than we can provide honestly.
The Keong Saik shophouse
Our studio occupies the fourth floor of a shophouse on Keong Saik Road — a street where food, design, and professional services sit side by side. The five-foot way below is public life; upstairs is a briefing room, a pair of quiet desks, and shelves for bound reference copies of past work that clients have released.
Clients visit by appointment. The space is arranged for conversation and document review, not for spectacle. Natural light from the front windows falls across a table where talking points are marked up by hand before they ever reach a slide template. That physical rhythm — read, mark, read again — mirrors the five-phase cadence we describe elsewhere on this site.

A working day
Mornings begin with reading: overnight wires, sector trades, and client monitoring summaries when an engagement is active. We do not publish a real-time dashboard; we produce written briefs that a leadership team can absorb in ten minutes. Midday is usually client work — drafting, review calls, spokesperson coaching — with internal alignment handled before external release.
Afternoons favour deep writing. Press materials and Q&A packs receive uninterrupted blocks because fractured attention shows in wording. Fridays, when schedules allow, are for archive and handover: final files, version logs, and short memos on what we would watch if the engagement continued.
Office hours are Mon–Fri, 09:00–18:00 SGT. Issues work can extend beyond that by agreement, but routine deliverables are planned inside normal hours so clients know when to expect counsel rather than midnight messages.
People by role
We describe the team by function rather than by catalogue biography. A media relations lead maintains outlet relationships and shapes pitch strategy. A corporate narrative lead owns the long-form argument — what the organisation stands for across quarters, not only this week’s headline. An editorial lead turns that argument into releases, speeches, and internal memos with consistent terminology. An issues lead runs playbooks, monitoring lines, and the calm rewrite when facts shift.
Senior practitioners join client sessions directly. Support researchers handle verified background and citation; they do not replace the senior voice in the room. When a piece of work needs a language other than English, we coordinate vetted translators and keep English master copy as the authority.
No one on this page claims invented awards or name-drops former employers for credibility. The work speaks through materials clients approve and release, described in anonymised terms on the contexts page.
